Abstract

The degree of affinity of microscopic fungi for palms as substrate is discussed through the analysis of the behavior of hyphomycetes species that develop on different parts of these plants in Cuba, with respect to their relationship with their hosts at a global level. The petioles and rachis of palm leaves were excellent substrates where a great variety of microscopic fungi developed.
